5MP IP camera SSC30KQ + Sony IMX335 (OpenIPC, up to 120 fps)

Smoothness over resolution

The IMX335 driver lets you trade pixels for frames. At 1280×720 the camera delivers 120 fps at around 60 ms latency — in fast flight that reads as noticeably sharper than 1080p@60 despite the lower resolution. When detail matters, the same sensor gives 1920×1080 at 60 fps.

Low-light performance

The camera runs OpenIPC, the open firmware with Majestic and WFB-NG support. That means full control over bitrate, codec and radio-link parameters instead of a fixed set of vendor modes. H.265 or H.264 encoding with audio in the stream, bitrate from 15 Mbps.

Lens

The stock M12 2.8 mm lens gives a wide field of view — enough to see what is around the aircraft rather than a narrow slice ahead. The M12 thread is standard, so the lens is replaceable: fit a longer focal length when the task calls for it.

Video goes over 100 Mbps Ethernet; Wi-Fi is added with an external USB adapter. It runs on 12 V, and the power cable is included, so the camera can be wired up as soon as it arrives.
