Broadband Omni disc antenna 800 MHz – 8 GHz, Linear, N-type

A broadband disc antenna with linear polarisation, built first of all for FPV ground stations. A single unit covers 0.8–8 GHz, so it serves both the control channels and the 5.8 GHz video band without swapping antennas.

Peak gain is 11 dBi at 5800 MHz — high for an omnidirectional antenna. That buys range on the working FPV frequency while still requiring no aiming: reception stays circular in the horizontal plane.

Construction and connection

At 210 × 210 × 180 mm and 360 g the antenna suits a mobile ground station, not only a fixed installation. The disc construction keeps performance steady across the band.

It connects through N-type Female at 50 Ω — mechanically stronger and more reliable than SMA, which matters in the field. The 500 W rating means it can transmit as well as receive.
